概覽
羅馬共和國（義大利語：Repubblica Romana）於1798年2月15日在拿破崙的將軍路易-亞歷山大·貝爾蒂埃於2月10日入侵羅馬城後宣告成立。羅馬共和國是法國大革命時期義大利的「姐妹共和國」之一。它被置於法國統治之下，由從教宗國占領的領土組成。教宗庇護六世被流放到法國，並於1799年死於那裡。它立即控制了另外兩個前教宗國的革命政府，蒂伯里納共和國和安科寧共和國。羅馬共和國很短命，教宗國於1799年10月恢復。
