Venezuela (amtlich Bolivarische Republik Venezuela, spanisch República Bolivariana de Venezuela [venezolanische Aussprache reˈpuβlika βoliβaˈɾjana ðe βeneˈswela]) ist ein Staat im Norden von Südamerika. Er grenzt im Süden an Brasilien, im Westen an Kolumbien, im Osten an Guyana und im Norden an die Karibik. Im Land leben etwa 28,5 Millionen Menschen, davon rund 5 Millionen in der Metropolregion der Hauptstadt Caracas.
