Überblick
Das Königreich England bestand vom Zusammenbruch der Heptarchie im Frühmittelalter bis zum Jahr 1707. Sein Nachfolger wurde das durch den formalen Zusammenschluss der Königreiche von England und Schottland entstandene Königreich Großbritannien.
